The “Every Single Patient,” or “ESP” Council at Harris and Swain is a group of employees representing multiple areas of clinical and non-clinical expertise that meets monthly to hear patient stories and discuss ways to improve the patient and family experience on every level. Members of the ESP Council are proactive about acting on feedback received from patients – ensuring that positive experiences are repeated and negative experiences are addressed and taken as an opportunity for improvement.
If you would like to share your experience as a patient or family member with the ESP Council, or if you simply have an issue that you feel needs to be addressed, please contact the Patient Feedback Coordinator at 828-586-7780.
The Power of One
In addition to advocating for patients, the ESP Council is also responsible for selecting winners of the “Power of One” Award, a recognition program that highlights and honors employees who go above and beyond the call of duty. The award signifies that one person has the power to make a dynamic difference in the patient experience. The ESP Council also selects a medical provider (physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant) each month for special recognition.
