WestCare is proud to partner with Swain County Health Department, Swain County Emergency Management, and First Baptist Church of Bryson City to host the U.S. Department of Defense Appalachian Care Medical Mission.

WestCare is proud to partner with Swain County Health Department, Swain County Emergency Management, and First Baptist Church of Bryson City to host the U.S. Department of Defense Appalachian Care Medical Mission.

Now through Thursday, June 12, any North Carolina resident needing medical, optical, dental, and veterinary services may receive them at no cost by medically-trained members of the U.S. Army.

Those wishing to receive care must register at First Baptist Church of Bryson City on the same day they receive care. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. each day (with the exception of Sunday, June 8).

Services include:
-Free dental exams, extractions, cleanings, fillings
-Free eye exam and one free pair of single vision glasses
-Free physical
-Vet services include rabies vaccines and de-worming

Swain County Hospital is providing clinic space for the medical mission on the East Wing and is assisting with volunteer support and other needs.
